Dog Walk to End Alzheimer's
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
DOGS WALK TO END ALZHEIMER’S®
Dogs are becoming an exciting part of the Walk to End Alzheimer’s
INDIANAPOLIS, Sept. 26, 2013 — The Alzheimer’s Association is encouraging participants to bring their dogs to Walk to End Alzheimer’s on Sunday, October 13, 2013, at noon at Military Park in downtown Indianapolis. Dogs create a fun atmosphere at the Walk and bring the community closer together.
Across the nation, dogs are becoming a part of the fight to end Alzheimer’s. Some Indiana Walks have formed a “Pets Go Purple” campaign, encouraging pet owners to dress their furry friends in purple and post pictures on the Alzheimer’s Association Greater Indiana Chapter Facebook page.
Walk to End Alzheimer's participants will be able to learn more about Alzheimer's disease, advocacy opportunities, clinical trial enrollment, and support programs and services. Each walker will also join in a meaningful tribute ceremony to honor those affected by Alzheimer's disease.
You can make an impact. Participate in the fight against Alzheimer’s by starting or joining a team today, and don’t forget your four-legged family member. This is a family-friendly event, so we ask that dogs remain on a leash and are well-behaved. To register for free, please visit alz.org/Indiana. For more information, call 800-272-3900.
